What LockerPDF does with your files

Every tool on LockerPDF processes your files entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. When you drop a file into a tool, it is read from your device's memory and never transmitted over the network. We do not have a server that receives, stores, or has access to the content of any file you process.

What we do collect

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are used and whether they work correctly. This includes: which tool was opened, whether an operation succeeded or failed, and non-identifying metadata such as file size in megabytes and page count. We do not collect file names, file content, or any personally identifiable information tied to the files you process.

Cookies

LockerPDF may use cookies for basic analytics and, where applicable, to serve advertising. You can decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner.

Advertising

LockerPDF is free to use and may display ads served by third-party ad networks. These networks may use cookies to personalize ads. This does not involve access to the files you process; ad networks never receive your file content.

Chat widget

LockerPDF uses a third-party chat widget (Askvo) to let visitors ask questions. If you use the chat, the messages you type and any contact details you choose to share (such as an email address) are sent to and processed by Askvo, not by our own servers. The chat widget is separate from the PDF tools: it never has access to the files you process, which stay local to your browser regardless of whether you use the chat.
